Treatment For Constipation: Bring Back Your Lost Happiness

Transit time through the digestive and elimination system (which is about nine metres long overall) should be 12-24 hours

Herbal FiberBlend can help resolve constipation problems.

Constipation - the Primary Cause

Don't believe everything you read, especially on the internet. I do my best to cross-check all information from a number of sources: books, websites, textbooks, documentaries, practitioners and beyond. I've found numerous doctors and medical websites quoting that just "one motion per week is okay if that is normal for you". It might be normal (or heading towards average), but logic tells me it can't be healthy, especially over the long term.

One of the primary reasons I believe this is due to my personal experience and the fact that seeing, thinking about or chewing food instigates digestive-acid creation in the stomach, and that peristalsis action in the colon is triggered by food entering the stomach. The occurrence of these natural reactions indicates that as we eat, we are meant to release (daily at least).

Along with this, the longer food and toxic waste sits in the colon, the more toxic material is absorbed into the blood. The body utilises the toxins as a foundation to build the body's cells, and the cells are acidic, depleted of oxygen, creating the foundations of disease through autointoxication.

I have read in several places (and personally believe) that transit time through the digestive and elimination system (which is about nine metres long overall) should be 12-24 hours. Any longer and the food ferments, then putrefies and starts leaching toxins into the blood - the foundation of most diseases. We should have one to three relaxed bowel movements every day.

Prominent gastroenterologist Dr. Wesley Jones found that virtually all digestive problems have one single underlying cause - constipation. "Our modern diets and stressful lifestyles can make poor digestion a common experience that sometimes people don't even recognise as a problem."

Fibre and Water

If faeces doesn't have enough fibrous material or water or both, the faeces may move slowly through the colon because the mucus lining and muscles on the colon wall have little to push against. The slow movement of the faeces allows extra water to be extracted, causing the faeces to become more dehydrated than intended, harder and more compacted. Fibre is only found in plants and not in animal products.

Hard, solid faeces makes it difficult for the colon wall to work its peristalsis action and move the faeces towards the anus. It's a bit like trying to move a long, smooth piece of wood using a wet, plastic pillow. A chronically constipated bowel won't pass a motion until enough pressure (waste) has built up behind the stool to force it out the anus.

As mentioned previously, the internal lining of the colon wall has a smooth mucus coating, which is continually replenished and binds and lubricates the faeces to slide along the colon wall. Inadequate water consumption and the resulting constipation can cause a build up of sticky, dehydrated mucus on the colon wall which combines with other old, stagnant faeces to make a type of glue which adheres to the colon wall forming mucoid plaque, slowing the movement of faeces. At the same time, water and nutrients are extracted by a series of veins connected to the colon that lead to the portal vein, which feeds to the liver for processing or storage. The longer faeces sits in the colon, the more toxins are extracted leading to autointoxication of all organs via the liver and blood.

Autointoxication

Autointoxication is the term used when the digestive and elimination system is not working properly (constipation) and the accumulation of putrefied waste in the colon leads to toxins being continually absorbed and which essentially chronically poisons all other organs in the body.

The fact that you're having regular motions daily is not a true indication that you're not constipated either. Thick encrusted build-up (mucoid plaque) on the colon wall can sometimes only allow a thin, narrow stream of faeces to move through, whilst continually building up the solid faecal matter on the colon wall. Often such people may have up to three to five thin (often runny) bowel movements per day.

One Excellent Solution to Constipation

If your colon is in poor condition (which may be indicated by a combination of the following disorders), then you might need to consider supporting your colon through taking supplements like AIM Herbal Fiberblend® which has fibre combined with 19 active herbs. Through my own experience (and my family's use), I can certainly vouch for this product, though I must legally mention that my results may not be typical for everybody.

AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is a proprietary blend of fibre and herbs and is one of the first successful high-fibre and herbal combinations introduced around 30 years ago that many other companies have tried to copy with limited success. AIM Herbal Fiberblend® is on the register of the TGA in Australia (and the FDA in the US), and may prevent and relieve constipation, flatulence and the discomfort of gastritis. AIM Herbal Fiberblend® also helps maintain regularity and has a cleansing effect on the bowel.

Though heart disease and cancer are not specifically colon problems, they are related to problems of the colon because they too can result from a low-fibre diet. A recent medical study concluded that, "If we could increase the daily per capita consumption of fibre by 13 grams, the risk of colorectal cancer in the US would decrease by 31 percent."That translates to two lives saved every hour! Other forms of cancer, including breast cancer, have also been shown to be related to a low intake of dietary fibre.
